Strengthening our Commitment to Active Ageing with STRONGER at HOME
< Back to News

We're thrilled to announce a new partnership with STRONGER at HOME, an initiative led by Dr Ashley Gluchowski, a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, Certified Special Population Specialist, and researcher at the University of Salford. This latest collaboration enriches our platform with advanced, research-based strength training, enhancing our mission to support active and independent living.

We understand that getting started can be intimidating. That’s why STRONGER at HOME focuses on inclusive and accessible strength training as a cornerstone of healthy ageing – not just for those over 65, but for people of all ages and abilities. Using the latest evidence alongside clinical and public experience, the resources provide everything people need to get stronger today. With the launch of a new website and YouTube channel, STRONGER at HOME features a series of engaging videos, including how to set up your home gym, choosing the right exercises, and selecting the right weights.

Dr Gluchowski’s expertise brings invaluable insights to our community. Her mission to empower adults to get stronger with age aligns perfectly with our goals, offering scientifically backed strategies to enhance strength and balance. This partnership ensures our users can access the best advice to stay active and safe from the comfort of their homes.

Initially, the launch playlist will be embedded into a new page within the Staying Active section of the Steady On Your Feet platform. These resources will help individuals tailor their exercise routines to their needs, promoting sustained physical health and independence. As the video library continues to grow, our ongoing partnership will ensure that the section benefits from fresh new content, expert tutorials, and advanced strength training videos.

Dr Gluchowski explains more:

“With my passion and speciality in ageing, I aim to empower adults to get stronger. I’m most inspired when I’m making a significant difference in the lives of adults by improving their physical and physiological health, social and mental well-being, and overall quality of life. Since founding STRONGER at HOME, I’ve been looking to collaborate with others who share my passion and are open to raising awareness and implementing evidence-based strength training programmes. Steady On Your Feet was a perfect fit and a great opportunity to support their growing number of users across the UK.”

Managing Director of Steady On Your Feet, Mark Easby, adds:

“As Steady On Your Feet gains traction nationwide, we’re always looking to collaborate and curate the best content for our platform. The Staying Active section plays a huge part in advice and guidance, and it’s important we provide our users with a range of content to support their personal needs. The programme content from STRONGER at HOME delivers advanced, research-based strength training resources that add further depth and support each person’s individual needs.”

With STRONGER at HOME, Steady On Your Feet continues offering comprehensive support for active and healthy ageing. We are thrilled to provide our users with these valuable resources, helping them stay stronger for longer while living active, independent lives.
